  4. Grease
  5. Anne of Green Gables

Romeo & Juliet

Chemainus Theatre Festival – performed at Waterwheel Park Chemainus and Saltspring Island’s Artspring Theatre

Gulf Islands Driftwood - Debbie Willis

And the play is worth the price of admission for the fun and endearing portrayal of the nurse by Amy Koop. She manages to show the nurse as a silly but complicated character, who at once loves Juliet to bits but also advises her to forget the banished Romeo and marry Paris. Koop doesn’t take herself too seriously even while she recites such famous words, and brings the lines to life by obviously understanding them and enjoying herself.

Hello, Dolly!

Chemainus Theatre

CBC review (July 2, 2002)

There were some treasures among the smaller roles as well, particularly Amy Koop as the giggling, blushing Minnie Fay, and she’s quite a good dancer too.

It's a Wonderful Life

Chemainus Theatre

Times Colonist - Adrian Chamberlain (Nov. 11, 2001)

The Cast’s notables are... Amy Koop who as Potters Attendant executed a crowd pleasing burlesque for the "we hate you, George Bailey" song.

Cowichan Valley Citizen - Donna Wilford

One of the best comic relief scenes involves Amy Koop, Potter’s stern and sour attendant, who turns into a wild go-go girl thrusting her bosom and strutting her stuff during the song "I hate you George." The two dour biddies are brilliantly hilarious.

Grease

Aquarian Productions

Peace Arch News - Alex Browne (August 12, 2000)

Particular standout is Garcia’s 50’s style crooning of “Mooning” joined by the equally excellent Amy Koop a bundle of irrepressible energy as Jan, one of the Pink Ladies.

Anne of Green Gables

Richmond Gateway Theatre

The Georgia Straight - Colin Thomas (December 24 – 31st, 1998)

Some of the most pleasant surprises come in the shapes of the young thespians…. Amy Koop makes the most of a much broader role, Josie Pye, Anne’s romantic competition.

The Vancouver Sun - Peter Bernie (December 12, 1998)

Young or old, everyone gives their all. But the best efforts match those of the delicious Miss Hopps. Amy Koop as the nasty Josie Pye knows just how to sell her shtick to that back row.

The Richmond News - Leanne Hazon (December 13, 1998)

A special mention must be given to Amy Koop who plays snobby spoiled Josie Pye. It’s difficult not to like Koop’s Josie, even though she is a thoroughly unlikable character. Koop’s portrayal of naughty, trouble making Josie, with her facial expressions and obnoxious demeanor is truly memorable and there is no doubt she stole a few scenes. The musical is worth seeing again for Koop’s performance alone.
